2024 Caterwaul Cabernet Sauvignon - Regusci Vineyard750ml

After more than a decade of producing our Regusci Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, certain vintages still serve as a reminder that exceptional sites have a way of amplifying exceptional years. When great dirt, thoughtful farming, and a restrained hand in the cellar come together, the vineyard gets to shine. A brooding expression of the characteristically purple-fruited clone 15, this Cabernet hints at its concentration and delivers in spades. Layers of black currant, sanguine meat, sandalwood and warm iron rise from the glass. A core of crushed slate, finely textured tannins frames a supple palate of blueberry, aged tobacco, dried herbs  and a touch of cocoa nib. The finish is long, persistent and remarkably energetic. Rather than drying the palate, the wine’s firm yet polished tannins create a mouthwatering tension that lingers long after each sip, inviting the next.
