Coming once again from the Wilsey Ranch in the heart of Rutherford, the 2024 shows off a more concentrated core than our inaugural 2023.  This also possesses a truer fruit forward profile than last year’s savory leaning wine.  Black cherries, cassis, and purple flowers are notable with mouthwatering savory nuances of mint and green olive ushering in a more classic Rutherford dust quality.  The palate opens with the unmistakable intensity of the 2024 vintage:  everything present, fully realized and beautifully packed. Rich, dark fruits interplay with earthy pipe tobacco, toasted bread and hints of roasted nuts. Rutherford’s signature fine grain tannins tether these flavors to the polished finish, lending qualities of refinement and elegance that invite another sip.
